On February 14, 2012, Professor Peng Jinxin, Member of Scientific and Technological Committee, former Director-General of Department of Laws and Regulations, Director-General of Department of Nature Ecological Conservation of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, accepted the  formal invitation of IEEPA and served as an adviser of IEEPA secretary-general, who will be in charge of offering guidance and support on the routine work of IEEPA Secretariat in terms of economy and environmental policy research.

 Jon Li, Secretary General of IEEPA, expressed his congratulation and thought that IEEPA, under the support and help of Professor Peng, would continue to boost China''s sustainable work between economy and environment, upgrade and promote energy conservation and environmental protection; during the talks, Mr. Peng also put forward some constructive and forward-looking proposals and opinions on association''s work, achievements and future development plan.

Ever held the posts of deputy director-general, director-general of Department of Law and Regulations of State Environmental Protection Administration, vice secretary-general of China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development, director-general of Department of Nature Ecological Conservation of State Environmental Protection Administration, vice director of Evaluation Committee of National Nature Reserve, expert of China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development, member of Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Environmental Protection.

Mainly assumed and participated in drafting of speech paper of state heads; assumed and organized the drafting of important files on environmental protection, and national policy for environmental protection, and formulated laws and regulations on national environmental protection.

Ever participated in UN environmental meeting and relevant international conference in the name of deputy representative and delegation head, and expounded the achievement on China''s environmental protection and sustainable development, safeguard environment and development rights of China and other developing countries. In recent year, Mr. Peng was ever appointed as visiting professor and scholar for Nagoya University of Japan, and mainly worked on cyclic economy, low-carbon energy, economic and low-carbon society research.
